My mom, Will (step-dad), Cameron (step-brother), his friend CJ, my cousin Michael, and myself (yes, that many people) all visited Six Flags America in Largo, Maryland this past Sunday. Wow, long sentence So here's the rundown, pictured included.
***NOTE: VIDEOS WILL BE UPLOADED LATER***
Around 11:00, we stepped out of the car and saw the BEST view ever:
SUPERMAAAN!!!!!
So, at the beginning of the day, as always we ran to S:ROS. Now, this ride is great. But this year it is shuffling from side-to-side around the helices. The first drop still RULEZ, especially in the back!
Put your hands up people!!!
Right after taking this picture, the ride broke down. Cursed camera! Michael and I were NEXT IN LINE for the front seat, we were TICKED OFF!!! So we decided to run to Batwing, hoping that S:ROS would re-open by the time we got off. First thing that amazed me about operations this year was the se of both stations, buth times I have visited! Oh, and the most awesoem thing about the dual-station here is...get ready for it...
FLIPPY!!!!!!!!!!
From the line for Batwing, I got a few perty pictures:
Joker's Jinx!
Required picture
Batwing was great, as normal. The back seat (front seat when in sitting position) gives AMAZING g-forces in the loop. I love batwing, it's my #10 (until I go to PKD and SFGAdv this year!) Of course, even afterwards Superman was still closed, so, upsettedly (word?), we went to Joker. I love this coaster, it's so...launchy ;D There's so many headchoppers on the thing, as shown in the video (yes, a video!) This coaster isn't in my top ten, but it's still great!
3...2...1...AAAHHH!!!
Spaghetti...mmmmm Oh, this is my favorite pic from the trip. Dunno why, but I love it!
Oh, and guess what I saw from the brake run!?!
ULTRA TWISTER!!!!! But where's the rest...?
So, after Joker, Superman still being down () Michael and I headed over to Hurricane Harbor. The best slide there is definately Tornado:
TORNADO!!! Whoosh...it's just not the same
Oh, and I just thought this picture HAD to be shared with everyone!
ME AND THE LOONEY TUNES!!!
And this one...it would've felt SO GOOD if it was open!
They should SOOO install brakes at the bottom, so that if the water isn't in the pond they can make it a kiddie coaster!!!
So, after havin' fun in the sun (hehe, I am SOOO the next Dr. Seuess (sp?)) we headed over the the Southwest Terriroy, with Wild One and Two Face. First off, we did Two Face. This is your typical inverted boomerang. Up, down, cobra, loop, up, down, loop, cobra, up, down. Yup, pretty long it writing, right!?!
Wheeeeeeee...eeee...eee...ee...e...oh, whatever.
Pay no attention to the head in the lower corner...I hate when people say that! It makes me look ;D
Okay, so now over to Wild One. Here, there's a few pics from all over the park. You can't get a good one from right next to the coaster, it's an out-and-back! Wild One is running AMAZING this year, the most airtime out of the 4 years I've been riding. It's a little bumpier, but hey, it's the things 20th anniversary so we'll overlook that! Wanna see some pretty pictures? I know you do...
First you go up...
Down! Whee! Airtime! Double up! Turn! Double down! Bunnybump!!!
More bumps! Trim brakes (actually on this year!) LATERALS!!!!! Brakes
After the Southwest Territory, we wanted to stick with the theme (cheah, right) so we headed over to ROAR and Mind Eraser. Mind Eraser (Yaaay, SLC ) was getting it's chain motor refilled (ECONOMICAL CHALLENGES FOR SIX FLAGS PARKS -- PAGE 2A) so we did ROAR. ROAR is cool, it's definately much bumpier this year, but there's plenty of airtime to be had on this awesome GCI. Here's the mandatory picture:
Umm, the actions taken in this photo were not planned, and I have no control over them
And here's the bestest pic ever, of some RANDOM, but still OFFICIAL (yeah, I got that word into my TR) track!!!
Wheee! Yay! You all joined in this time!!!
Oh, and guess what happened after ROAR. From across the park, Superman was seen testing again. After a 4 hour break from any testing whatsoever, the Ride of Steel was running!!! So, Michael and I ran over, no stopping for pics. And right when we got to the Superman plaza...THERE WERE PEOPLE GOING UP THE LIFT! YAY! SUPERMAN WAS OPEN!!! We got into the line for the front seat (only 3 groups before us) and ride the ride. YAY! My 30th RIDE!!! Afterwards, we rode again, for my 31st and Michael's 3rd The ride broke down 3 TIMES in the line that time, but it was worth it for that back seat!
Pretty pic of the best hill on this thing! The 3rd hill (yea, this one) is actually one of ACEs favorite (yup, it's been proclaimed) airtime hills!
Oh, and look what I found!!!
ULTRA TWISTER!!!!! There's the rest!!!
Well, it was time to go We had a GREAT day at SFA, we got to ride everything except for Mind Eraser (boohoohoo ) And, one last pic for you all, and my 2nd favorite from the trip...
All 3 big hills! W00t! Oh, and John, this picture took A LOT of good aligning to get. The gallery better like it
Well, I hope you've enjoyed this TR (how many of you just skipped all the words and just looked at the pics?!?) Look forward to my next PTR...PKD!
