Last year, they removed both Steel Venom and X-Flight.Now they have plans to remove both Donimator and Thunderhawk!Plans for Thunderhawk is to either go to Kings Island,Valleyfair or Michigan`s Adventure. Why is Geauga Lake doing this?!Why are they removing all the great coasters?!If this contunie, they will be left coaster-less!

This thread is pointless. There is no proof yet that Dominator or Thunderhawk are being removed, and you once again failed to provide any type of source to say otherwise. X-Flight and Steel Venom were removed because they were not needed. When Six Flags owned the park they added WAY too many coasters in order to compete with CP. Once CF bought the park, they no longer needed to compete. Also, GL doesn't pull in the crowds like some other parks, it didn't need so many big rides. I am going to ask you to go ahead and read our forum rules, and I'm also going to lock this thread. Making a bunch of threads that are full of rumors with no proof is considered annoying (rule #3).

I'm going to un-lock this thread ONLY because it serves the purpose of a "general discussion" thread I was going to make about the park.
I know I'm in the minority here, but I feel that this park's hey-day was when Six Flags owned it. I know alot of people disagree with that, but they had three individual parks and all of them seemed to really bring in the crowds.
All Cedar Fair is doing is killing the competition for Cedar Point. That park is the "perfect child" of the family, and that's why I don't really have a want to go there.
I can understand how they would want to bring the park back to its original state, but I don't feel that the GP will accept that. All they will see is that major attractions are being taken out.
Thoughts?

If they take out something like dominator, they better put something in that spot. A nice family woodie perhaps. I can see the downsizing, but at least take care of what you own. Sure the water park may be big, but don't kill the park. If they don't want to build any more coasters, stick something else in the vacant spots, like water rides, dark rides, or flat rides.
The only thing that will come out of killing GL is that Kennywood and Cedar Point will be more crowded.
I only hope that the Big Dipper will be safe.

Don't they have three woodies?
This park needs a family spinner... Even though I don't ride them I think it would work perfectly for the park. (unless they want CP to have one)

It is pretty stupid to take out all the good rides from Geauga Lake that came from the Six Flags days,Cedar Fair usually get`s more thrill rides all the time to their parks!

^ Well look at it from their perspective, the rides haven't been bringing in guests, which is what they were built to do, so they might as well re-locate them and advertise them as new coasters at other parks. They don't need to compete with Cedar Point and Kings Island, two of the company's flagship parks, so they might as well use the coasters to their advantage at other parks. From what I hear, the ride side of the park is never as packed as the water park side so they don't really need big coasters there.

Maybe they want to close Geauga Lake and use the room as an giant expansion for their popular waterpark!

^ I doubt it, but I do believe that if they re-locate Dominator and Thunderhawk (which seems very likely, in my opinion), they will continue to re-locate "big" coasters such as Villain and Head Spin.

mybe they're trying to sell out all the six flaggeyness by removing all the coasters, then they'll add new coasters and make it more cedar fairish.
