Well as most of you know Flashback at SFMM is coming down! It's stood abandoned for years now, and I think its good to see the park is finally beginning to remove it. Pictures courtesy of Theme Park Review: I believe there are several options here. Some think the spot will serve as an extension of the waterpark. That's all well and good but me not being the biggest fan of waterparks think the park should install a family coaster or flat ride. A Tony Hawk's Big Spin would fit perfectly into the area. What are your thoughts?

From that overview, it looks like they could extend the landing pool and add another slide complex where Flashback is. I think that would be a nice addition, the ride side doesn't really need a new big ride.

^ They do need flats, though. Most of the ones they have are either closed or exclusively for kids. I guess Thomas Town will help, though.

Maybe a Huss Giant Frisbee would fit in there. They have high capacity and are really fun. Better yet, they could put it on the hurricane harbor side and make it a water ride! Anyone up for shooting water cannons at a giant frisbee?

Me! I think that would work perfectly in that spot.
Has Six Flags used Huss before?

Man I love threads like these:
But anyway, most people think a HH expansion will be installed, or a THBS, but I think they'll try and put rather a B&M or an Intamin... Not sure what models though...
Maybe a "The Dark Knight" will go there. SFNE, SFGA and SFGAm are each getting one...
I sure hope that they get more than 2 coasters so they can beat Cedar Point in the most coasters in a theme park... I'd much rather have a SF park have more coasters than a CF park...

You have to remember that the "reason" Flashback was closed for all these years was because it was too loud. They would either have to enclose a coaster, or give it the silent treatment. Ill agree with Ice and say that a THHP would fit in nicely there.

It'll be a "Dark Knight" coaster if it's a coaster.

It'll be a "Dark Knight" coaster if it's a coaster. 1. It won't be a coaster, I can almost garuntee you that. 2. Why would a Dark Knight Coaster go there!? Wouldn't it go in the gotham area

I doubt it will be too, hence why I said if it will even be a coaster at all. Being so close to the wavepool and water park, I doubt anything but a small flat ride or water park expansion will go there. Or they might just leave it empty (knowing Six Flags, that's what they'll probably do for a few years). 2. You're talking about the same company that regularly builds coasters way out of place. They would put one there to liven that part of the park up again. That section is completely dead. When I was there I didn't even see Flashback in person because I completely forgot about it and there isn't anything else over there.

Another thing, it is practicully impossible to get back there. This is why if it is going to be for the theme park it will most likely be a coaster, but I can almost garuntee you it isn't.

Has Six Flags used Huss before? Many times! Huss has manufactured many different rides for several different Six Flags parks. Some that come to mind are the Frisbees at both SFGAm and SFNE, the pirate ships at numerous parks, the top spins at various parks. They have created an enormous amount of rides for the Six Flags Franchise.
