Im a huge KI fan, and on KIC (kicentral.com) we have all been talking about a rumor coaster for 09'. The rumor coaster is rumored to be a B&M Hyper that uses terrain for alot of the rides layout. I made this topic to see what everyone thinks this coaster will be like, or if you think it will even be built!

With all the recent construction and commotion, something is definitely going on near Swan Lake. I think it is a B&M Hyper, as Screamscape has nearly confirmed it. This is going to be awesome to ride, especially at night. I can't wait to get on top of the Eiffel Tower to see what's going on! Here is what Screamscape says about it: Here is a link to the Kings Island Screamscape page. www.screamscape.com/html/kings_island.htm

I just hope if it does happen it doesn't use the stupid trains like on Behemoth. The traditional trains for the hypers are way better.

^My opinion doesn't mean I have to ride both. I just don't like that some of the seats are behind the others. I like the 4 across.

^^Beat me to it.
^You can't say that one is better. You can say that one looks better, but you can't compare quality before you've actually ridden both.

^ I know he hasn't, but say he's ridden a Deja Vu. That style is the same exact concept, only the track is above you. He could then make a general quality comparison based on that. Hell, even setting up chairs in his living room in Behemoth's seating arrangement will give a general idea. You don't necessarily have to ride it to give an opinion on it. Riding it makes your opinion have much more credibility, but he's allowed to generalize and speculate.

^Sitting in a living room chair that is in front of two others and next to another is hardly comparable to sitting in a coaster seat 250 feet in the air with nothing around you. And your Deja Vu argument doesnt hold up either, cause I can tell you that inverted seating is not even close to the same as sit-down seating as far as views go. On Deja Vu you are still surrounded, on Behemoth you will be all alone with nothing obstructing you.
I'm not telling him what he can and cannot say, but I am pointing out his discredibility and ignorance.

I don't want the new B&M Hyper style seating, it's capacity looks worst than Firehawk.

^How does that make sense??
Firehawk runs two trains with 24 riders on each. Behemoth runs (3?) trains with 32 riders on each. And Behemoth ahs to deal with a lapbar, not continuous "unlock car three" and "relock car six" and "reset train" instructions by the ride ops.

I don't care what Cedar Fail does, to be honest. I'm sure it will be a great coaster, though. (thanks to B&M, not Cedar Fail)

I'm not telling him what he can and cannot say, but I am pointing out his discredibility and ignorance. I said general comparison, not exact same thing. You're acting like I said you can experience any roller coaster in the world right in one's own living room, which isn't even close to what I said. Regarding Deja Vu, once again, general comparison and concept. You get somewhat of a feel for where people are, compared to you, and what the forces and scenery feel and look like around you while you are in that seating position. Like I said, it's the same concept and one can create a general (not exact) idea by doing so. Here's an example. Say someone rides Dominator at KD, then rides Anaconda. They have a much better ride on Dominator and enjoy it more. That person then takes a trip to SFMM. They can automatically deduce that they will like Scream more than Viper, even though their past experiences haven't been on exact clones. They came up with a generalization of how they both will be like from riding something similar, but different. The same applies with Deja Vu. People who have ridden it can generally deduce which seating style they think will be better. Of course they will never know 100% until they actually ride it, but they still have a concept of it in their mind, nonetheless, and can make those comparisons.
