That looks similar to the GIMP. Is the lasso tool a free hand selecting tool? Where you select what you by "drawing" a line around it?

The lasso tool has a free hand selecting tool, a polygon selecting tool (where you draw a shape) and a magnetic selecting tool, where it locks on to obljects in the image.

Gimp has a free select and a polygon selecting tool but not a magnetic selecting tool. How does the magnetic work? Does it really do a good job?

Does way better than Gimp's contigous regions tool...just look at that SR logo. Gimp could never do that.

The only way you could do that using the GIMP would be if you had a super steady hand for the free select tool. GIMP's continious region tool sucks. I'll have to get this.

I have used the continous regions tool, its okay. But its nothing compared to the magnetic lasso tool/the magic wand tool.
