So, I went to a 2-week day camp thru the end of last month to the beginning of this one. It was alot of fun, and on Tuesday, July 25th we got to go to PKD! We left at 9:00AM and got back at 9:00PM. We had alot of fun! Ready for the most awesome-est PTR you've EVER SEEN IN YOUR LIFE!?! Then go look at someone else's, cause this ain't it LOL ;D
--Oh yeah, you may have to turn your head for some of the pics...but hey, it's all worth it for the INTERACTIVE part at the end--
****************************************************
We arrived at the park around11:00-ish, and were greeted by two lovely views:
The Eiffel Tower/Berserker...AND......
The EXTREMELY Photo-Genic Volcano, who politely shot out fire right as I took the picture!
So, we moved on to the "Checkpoint Area" where we were to check in midday and at 6:45 to leave. The checkpoint area was at a place so amazing, so cool, so totally funky-fresh, a place no other than.....
THE EIFFEL TOWER! OmG tTlY kEwL!!!
Who would've thought that if we got lost, we'd go to the Eiffel Tower. I know, crazy, right!?! So, our group (unmentioned until now, er, 5 words ago, wait, now 10 words, wait, now...oh, nevermind) headed over to the only full-circuit-inverted-launched-inverted-4D-hyper-strata-wooden...(okay, so it's not wooden ) coaster in the world:
VOLCANO: THE BLAST COASTER!
*Insert "Oooooooh, Ahhhhhhh" HERE*
So, as it was on my first ride (only a month before), Volcano was awesome. Great, unsuspected launch, cool hangtime (upside-down airtime for all you weird non-word-shortening people), and a forceful turny-drop into the brakes. Yes, an 80-foot drop inbto the brakes. Yeah, you heard me right. Uh-huh, 60-something MPH wasted. Yup, wanna hear me say it one more time? Huh? Oh...well fine...I'll move on to:
TOMB RAIDER! Wheee!!!
Tomb Raider was very cool (get it, cool, like, cause of the water? Hehe!) It was also very hot (HA! Cause of the fire! Ugh, some people just don't get it... And then it was Anaconda time, a really cool ride with forces, an underwater tunnel, and hangtime over a lake. Creepy, I know. Want a picture? Here ya go:
Wait...that's not Anaconda. It's that STUPID CLOSED RIDE *secretely wants to ride the stupid closed ride* Now, where'd my Anaconda pics go...?
Oooh, and guess what ride was next!!! It's themed to a car chase from a movie! There's positive G's, and negate G's, and lateral G's, and...and...launches! And, the final clue: IT'S LOCATED IN THE CONGO!?! Still don't know? It's...
ITALIAN JOB: TURBO COASTER! Wait a minute...in the Congo!?! Huh?
Anyways, after the #1 family coaster EVER, we headed over for another ride on Volcano! Woohoo!
Yippie! It's Volcano! Oh, this ride is non-word-shortening-people friendly, because the name is really long. So yeah. PKD thinks of everything!
AND NOW: THE MOST INTERACTIVE TR IN THE WORLD!!! ARE YOU READY TO BE IMMERSED INTO THE WORLD OF VOLCANO: THE BLAST COASTER!?!
That's right, you get to STAND IN LINE!!! Woohoo, Interactiveness ;D!!!
So next it was time for Hypersonic, but first, another sideways pic (sweet, more interactiveness!)
Gotta love the interactive-but-not-as-interactive-as-the-line-pic picture! Oh, sorry, I got caught up. *Ooooh, Drop Zone* There's the right caption!
So NOW it was time for Hypersonic. Umm, wow, what a launch. 0-82 in 1.8 seconds. Quick, eh? The airforce technology stuff rocks, it's very intimidating to watch it work! We loved it, it loved us, we were all very happy. Want pics? TOO BAD!!! Just kidding, here thay are...*Ugh, stupid people...oh, wait...am I still typing...oops*
Cool. Yeah, that's the caption. Uh-huh. Yup. Alright. Next picture please.
Woohoo, over the top. Awesome airtime, yay!
CHHHHKKKKKLLLLAAAAAABBBAAANNNGGGGCCCCKKKKKLLLLNNNNGGGGGCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHK!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, the brakes are loud
Go, go, goo-ooooo.......oh wait, that's the BGE commercial
And then it was time...for an epic battle...between my head...and the metal part on the back of the seat...it was time...for...SHOCKWAVE!
*chants with pitchforks* Down with Togo! Down with Togo!
Lift = Slow. Drop = Wheee. Loop = Uncomfortable Forces!
And then, in line for Rebel Yell, there were pictures taken. Pictures that are not just pictures, but pictures. Yes, you heard correct. PICTURES.
Volcano...Drop Zone...
Eiffel Tower...Shockwave...
And more Drop Zone. Cool? Totally. Did I ride? Totally not
So Rebel Yell was fun, plenty of airtime and a very unsuspected first drop when faces backwards in the "front"! We lost though...
HUZZAH! DO YOU HEAR THE YELL OF THE REBELS!?! Kinda like Star Wars...
And another Drop Zone pic, the ride loves to be photographed. It told me. Uh-huh. It did. Don't believe me? Go ask it yourself. And if you don't get an answer, then...well...it doesn't like you
Big...um...yeah.
And now...for the ultimate pain...AGAIN!!! SHOCKWAVE!!!
Woohoo!
Oh, here we go! Yup this is the one...the only...(I dunno why, but it is)...picture of Anaconda! I must be missing something, though. I coulda sworn that I took more than one!
Yaaay! So much fun!
Yeah, so this is the last picture I took, but I like the next one better, so I'm gonna show y'all this one now:
OMG! It resembles the other Rebel Yell picture! OmG wIcKeD!!!
And now...I have saved the best for last...dun...dun...dun...dun...dun...ok, I'm done. BUT BE WARNED! This picture is not to be viewed by those with a faint heart, back problems, those who are pregnant or suffer from arthritis, which was probably not spelt right. Eh, too bad.
Don't ask why I said all that, but I do like this picture!
****************************************************
And so, another visit to PKD comes to a close. Yes, so sad. You don't think so? Well go look at some other PTR! No, really, don't leave me! I'm so lonely... COME BACK!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
--TYLER
****************************************************
OMG! Look what I found!!! These pics must not have made it onto PhotoBucket!
The lost picture of Anaconda...
The lost picture of Italian Job...
The other lost, obligatory picture of Italian Job!
****************************************************
Now, this PTR is DONE!!! Hope you enjoyed it!
