Hello Friends.
I come with gifts.
Another Photo TR from your local CP guy, PLCP! (applause)
My whole family and I (Dad, Mom, and Brother) were going to go down to Cedar Point for Friday. Well, I get home from school on Thursday and find out that my dad can't go because he had run into a lot of things at work. Since three isn't a very good number, my brother decided to stay home (He doesn't really like Cedar Point anyways). So, me mom and I got an early start.
We left our house a little before 7 AM and got Dunkin' Donuts (mmmmmmm.......Donuts) and got on I-75. It was a pretty smooth ride, not many cars. When we got to Toledo, a little south of the city, there was an accident on the other side of I-75. IT WAS THE BIGGEST BACKUP I HAD EVER SEEN! The backup was about 7 or 8 miles long. Good thing we were on the other side.
We got our first glimpse of the park at about 9:30, and finally got into the park about 9:45. Our first ride was Wicked Twister, new for my mom. She didn't like it. So, to relax a little, we walked up and rode Iron Dragon. I checked the line for MF, about 30 minutes. My mom didn't want to go on it, and I didn't want to make her wait that long, so we rode the train back to Frontiertown. I got some pics of the construction (Availible Here) and we went on Mean Streak, also new for my mom. She liked it, but it gave her a headache. So, she sat out Gemini to see if her headache would go down while I rode it. Afterwards, we decided to get some lunch. So, we headed up to the GameDay Grille and got some lunch while watching NFL Live.
Then, we went on Blue Streak. Got a ride on Space Spiral after that. We got some Frozen Custard and walked back to Frontiertown. Got some more pictures of the construction, and just sat and watched Skyhawk. I got about 20 pictures of it, and checked the line. Long. So, we went on the sorry excuse for a roller coaster, the Mine Ride! Wheeeeeee! It was boring.
I went on Magnum by myself, and (I had never done this before) hands up whole ride. We then decided to go on Mantis, another new one for my mom. She thought it was just okay. I didn't remember how painful it was, considering I hadn't been on it since July.
After Mantis, I thought of something. I hadn't been on Raptor yet! Oh No! I'm going to get Raptor denial! We waited about 20 minutes for front row. After that, I took some more pictures and we headed home.
A little side note: Dragster was down the whole day. I saw it launch a couple times before we got inside but never saw it launch again. The entire station and line were empty. I presume it was because of high winds.
Ride Count:
Wicked Twister-1
Iron Dragon-1
Train-1
Mean Streak-1
Gemini-1
Blue Streak-1
Space Spiral-1
Magnum-1
Mantis-1
Raptor-1
