I just got back from my first ever trip to WDW.
Day 1:
I arrived at about 10:00. I came in from the West, and I was heading to the South, do I got to drive right past MGM and see ToT.
My room at the hotel wasn't ready yet. So, off to the parks! Magic Kingdom, here I come!
Magic Kingdom-
I got to ride the monorail in. ;D The first thing I saw was Mainstreet USA. Its amazing. All of the buildings are so unique. And the castle in the background looks great. (A little side note, it wasn't as big as I thought it was.) I was with a lot of my friends, and one of them tore his ACL a few months back. He had his surgery about a month ago. So, he got a wheelchair and we get front row access. We decided that we wanted to go to Space Mountain first, so we found out the handicapped stuff. We found out that we had to come back in about an hour. So, we walked over to the Tomorrowland Indy 500 and raced. Then we got some ice cream (Nestle Chocolate Chip sandwiches, mmmmm!). Then, it was time for Space Mountain! After we got off, we went and got some lunch. After lunch, we decided to head back to the Northwest corner. We rode Haunted Mansion. Then, we headed back to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. It was just okay. Nothing that special. Then, we went on Pirates of the Caribbean. It was a fun ride through, but it was nothing special. We decided to go back to the hotel and swim for a little bit.
The Hotel-
We all went back and changed into some swimsuits. We then went and swam for a good half an hour. We swam laps, played chicken, and had chicken races. We then went to a food court to get some dinner. I had pizza.
Animal Kingdom-
After, we went to the Animal Kingdom for a little Disney Resort guests only time. There were literally no lights, and it was impossible to see. So, I just made my way to the Tree of Life, and then took a right. Guess where I was going? ;D Yup, that's right. Its Expedition Everest time. A few of my friends got really annoyed by the bells in line...it was pretty funny. We waited about 15 minutes, and I got third to last row. The ride is amazing. And, I got a money picture. I'm the only one out of 6 of my friends that actually has my hands up. Woot. I bought it. We then rode Expedition Everest again, and we all cacme up with a good pose. After that, we walked South. We then went on Dinosaur. It was pretty interesting. The strobe lights litereally blinded me. I had a hooded sweatshirt on, so I had my hood up and the sweatshirt over my eyes. I was still blinded. In the picture you can't even see me. I didn't buy it. I then went on Primeval Whirl. It should be called The Whiplash Ride. It was just okay. I then walked back to the front of the park, and left.
Day 2:
The Morning-
I woke up at about 7:30. I took a quick shower, and ran to the food court to have breakfast. All of my friends were having pancakes or eggs or sausage or bacon. I had a bagel. Woot. Then, I went back to the hotel room, and I checked out. Then, I went to the car. Time for MGM!
Disney-MGM Studios-
We walked in, and immediately got a wheelchair. We all decided that we wanted to go on Rock'n'Roller Coaster first. We found out that they had installed "temporary" steps, so, no line for us! We walked in through the exit. I loved the trains. One thing I noticed about Disney, the dispatch time is incredible! From the time the gates opened to the time we dispatched was no more than 20 seconds. I loved the in-ride speakers, and the countdown. The launch was a ton of fun, and playing music in the background made the ride amazing. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it was a little short, and it threw my head around. After, we decided that it was time for Tower of Terror. This line was supposedly "wheelchair-accessible". The stand-by wait time was about 2 hours. We decided that we wanted to wait. Literally 5 seconds after we got in line, they announced that only half of the elevators were working. Yeah, no thanks. We decided that it would be a better idea to get Fastpasses. So, we got Fastpasses. We headed to the back of the park. The first thing we rode was Star Tours. It was a pretty stupid simulator, but fun nonetheless. After, we headed back to see the Lights, Motors, Action! stunt show. It was amazing. The car tricks, motorcycle stunts, and jumps were amazing. Then, it was time to go back to Tower of Terror. I had never been on a drop ride before. I was really freaked. The pre-show was a little lame, but the theming inside was really great. We chose the last elevator on the left. Two of my friends and I got row 3. Two more of my friends were right behind us in row 5. Yeah, it scared me even more that there were only seatbelts. I couldn't even find the handles until about halfway through the ride. I couldn't see anything because I had to take my glasses off. After the last time we went up, we moved forward into complete darkness. We sat there for a few seconds. And then, drop. And then, stop. And then, drop. And then, up. And then, drop. And then, up. And then, drop. Yeah, it was really good. After, we found a place to eat lunch. My friends and I had fun tossing my water bottle around the table and trying to snatch the water bottle out of each other's hands. After lunch, we went on Rock'n'Roller Coaster one more time. Next stop, Epcot.
Epcot-
The only ride we all really wanted to go on was Test Track. We went up to it and the wait time was 2 hours. We were all like, yeah, we'll go on it. After 10 minutes, the line had hardly moved, so we left. Then, the ride sign changed to an hour. So, we got back in line. After 10 minutes, the line still hadn't moved. So, we left again. We went to the shop next to the huge ball and I got a basketball. Then, we finally left.
