What can I say. I almost got lost on the way down, but I had a great Time. My Mother, Dad, and Cousin (fellow ACE Member) went along.
We left north central PA at 5:40 a.m. We continued till Falls Creak PA (Near Dubois PA) when we stopped at Sheetz for breakfast. Lets just say it's a good thing I know a few of the towns around West Mifflin or we'd still be somewhere in Pittsbugh. We ended up going through Turtle Creak and Braddock to get there. You can see Kennywood form Braddock.
Anyhow, we arrived at 8:20 a.m. to pick up our name badges and were let into the park at 9:00 a.m. (Kennywood dosent open till 10:30) and it was time for ERT! Jack Rabbit, Racer and Cosmic Chaos were the ERT rides.
The first ride Me and my cousin hit for ERT was the Jack Rabbit. This was my first coaster 10 long years ago and is still one of my favs. was on the third train of the day!
Next was my namesake, the 80 year old Racer. I was on the second Racer ride of the day ;D
After the Racer, me and my cousin desided to go to Cosmic Chaos. I can not say enough good things about it. Its like the Pirate and Wipeout in one! We rode in 5 straight time (WITHOUT GETTING OFF!)
It was then time for the Jack Rabbit again. front seat.
It was now time for my mini Racer marathon. 4 straight times without leaving my seat! there were 4 people in my train (blue) and 6 in the other (green).
After the Racer we ran back to Cosmic Chaos, as it was now 10:30.
I then went to wait for my fav coaster in the world to open up. the Phantom's Revenge! I rode in the last car and was on the first train of the day ;D
Then I hit up the Musik Express and Wipeout.
After I got off, I met up with my folks and my cousin and we went to lost kennywood. I decided to ride SwingShot. (cousin is sorta wimp) Swingshot is NOW my fav not coaster EVER! and to top it here is a pic of how full it was. I'm under the Kennywood logo. I've said this before, but SwingShot kicks Skyhawk's A%%
We then ate at Smallfry's, the baby brother to the potato patch. Nothing beats patch fries with gravy.
I then hit up the PittFall. There were only 6 people, including myself on it. Fun as always.
Next was time for the T-Bolt. Line was inside the station and it was only running one train. The Thunderbolt is one of the greatest coasters ever built, as it held the #1 spot until GCI came around.
It was now time to get wet. Pittsburg Plunge time. It was a walkon.
Next, it was time for ACE to take over the Whip. I rode it two times in a row.
After the Whip, we desided to go the the Exterminator. It only had a 10 min wait and the cars were spinning like mad.
We then went to the Racer's Whip's Turtle's and MGR's Birthday Party. It lasted till 2:00
It was now time for the ride that was celebrating it's 25 birthday, the Pirate. Your typical Huss pirate ship. Walkon
We then went to the Log Jammer. It was my longest wait up till that point. 30 min. Fun as always.
Look for Part two after my hands get a rest from typing.
