We left Chicago at around 11:00 AM central time, and got my Dad who was at work. We arrived at Cedar Point about 6:00 eastern time, and my mom checked us in to the Breakers Express. After we were all checked in, my mom dropped my sister and I off at the park to use our two Starlight tickets that came with the room. We got in the park, and the first thing we rode was Raptor. It had about a 10 minute wait, but we decided not to wait for the front row, because we only had a few hours. It was a really weird experience seeing yourself on Raptor on the Souvenir Video that they installed this year. I always look like an idiot when I'm riding coasters. Anyway, we got off Raptor, and I said that we should head straight to Maverick. So we started walking along Dragster, and my sister bugged me so much that I finally gave in and we went on it. The line was really short, Dragster being Dragster. It was about 20 minutes. After laughing at our on-ride photos, I was determined to make it to Maverick. When we got to Maverick's entrance, of course, it was broken down, and it had an hour wait anyway. So I reluctantly skipped it for the night. We headed over to Magnum, which, as always, was a total walk-on. I think it's always going to be a hidden gem. I've never waited more than 30 minutes for that ride. Anyway, Maverick was still broken when we got off, so we got in line for Millennium Force, our longest line of the day. we waited around 45 minutes to an hour for MF. But, MF is always worth the wait. We got off Millennium Force at about 9:50 PM, and the park closed at 10:00 PM that night. So, we went back to the hotel, where my parents had Steak 'n' Shake waiting for us. Mmmmmm.....
The next day, I was up at 7:30 AM. We got to the park (entrance by Magnum, closest to Maverick) around 8:30, and early admission was at 9:00 AM. At 8:50, they let people past the primary gate, only to be stopped at another gate. At 9:00, we got to go in with early entry. I sprinted as fast as I could behind Dragster to Maverick. It was well worth the sprint. I got on the 6th public train of the day. I gotta say, Maverick is going in spot numero uno on my top ten list. It's freaking insane. After having an amazing experience on Maverick, I got stuck on the brake run with my mom. My dad and sister were on the train after us, and they got stuck on the brake run behind us. So I got on the 6th public train, and the second to last train before it broke down. We were only stuck up there for about 5 minutes, but now I can say I've been stuck on a coaster. The only other early entry ride open was Millennium Force, which we waited about 15 minutes for. Then, the park opened, and the crowds poured in. We ran over to Dragster, just as it was opening. Just like last year, there was a line along the fence. We waited about 25 minutes to get on. Amazing ride, as usual. Then, we went on Magnum. The line had grown considerably since the previous night, and we waited about a half hour for it. Then, my dad stayed with me, and my mom and sister went on Dragster again. We were walking towards Raptor, when we started talking about Wildcat. Of course, no trip to CP is complete without Wildcat. So, after waiting 5 minutes for that, we finally made it to Raptor. The sign said a 45 minute wait, so we decided to hit the restroom first. When we got back, the sign said 90 minutes. We jumped in line, and waited over 2 hours for it. Longest line of the day, by far. While we were down at that end of the park, we rode Blue Streak. That pretty much ate up our morning, so we went out to lunch.
After lunch, we hit Magnum again, since it was closest. I love that ride like it was me own. Then, we rode Dragster, MF, and Magnum again, in like an hour and a half. Then we wandered over to the Wicked Twister Midway. My sister wanted to go on maXair, but I said no way. I can take the world's second tallest and fastest coaster anyday, but when it comes to maXair, I'm shaking in my boots. So while my parents went on Space Spiral, my sister and I hopped on Wicked Twister. It's fun, I just wish it was longer. Then, we did something I had never done before. I know this may sound crazy, but we actually waited an hour for Disaster Transport. It was a really fun ride! I think it's underrated. So anyway, we went to the back of the park, and rode Mean Streak, which still has a little bit of airtime, despite the trim brakes ont he first hill. While we were over there, we rode Gemini. That's a good little ride, too. We were all feelin a little tired, and it was about 10:30 (the park closed at 11), and Maverick had a 90 minute line. I decided to skip it, and that completed my trip to CP. Now I'm wishing I rode it one more time. All in all, I had a great trip.
