I got back from Busch Gardens Europe about 2 hours ago, and it was amazing. We're currently on vacation in North Carolina, so it was about a 2 hour drive to BGE. We got there about 10:30, and it was blazing hot. We got on the trams to the park entrance, showed our tickets, and we were in. We were going to head straight for Apollo's Chariot, but we saw a sign for Griffon, and couldn't resist. The park was nearly empty when we were walking over there. A good sign. The clock outside Griffon said about 25 minutes, but it was much less than that. We sat in the second row, and it was so much fun. Unbelieveable. That holding brake seems to last forever. ;D After Griffon, the closest coaster was Alpengeist. We waited for the front row, which added about 40 minutes to the line, which was only about 5 minutes. Alpengeist is amazing in the front row, and is definietely worth the wait. That was maybe our longest ride of the day, and we were getting hungry. We headed back to our car, and had lunchables (yum) in the cool air-conditioning. After lunch, we rode Apollo's Chariot, which had about a 5 minute line. We didn't wait for the front, because it was about 200 degress in the station. After AC, we rode Roman Rapids, and it felt really, really, really good. We headed up to Big Bad Wolf to dry ourselves off, and it had a small line, just like everything else. After about a 5 minute wait, I was surprised by BBW. It has really good illusions that you're going to crash into everything you come by, and after the second lift hill, it's incredibly fast. A really surprising (and enjoyable!) experience. Exceptional coaster. We wanted to check out Curse of DarKastle, because we heard it was pretty good. We got about halfway through the line, when the ride broke down. Half of everone in line left, so we basically went to the front. Then, it started to rain. It was a blessing that we were in the air-conditioned DarKastle, instead of anywhere else in the park. After about an hour, the ride opened back up. DarKastle is an incredibly fun ride, and had me grabbing at things popping out of the screen. Very cool ride. After we got off of DarKastle, we got some dinner at La Cucina. I got a pizza with cheese fries an a lemonade. Mmmmmm. Being stuffed, we rode the train around to LNM, mainly because of the interlocking loops. The restraints are kind of weird, there's no room to grab the handle on the right, it's squished against the side of the car. Anyway, LNM was fun. The second loop was the best out of the two, IMO. After LNM, we decided that we liked Griffon so much, we had to try it again. This time, we waited for the front row. Taking 10 people at a time per row really makes the line move quickly. I actually got to get the far right seat, on the very edge. Holy snot, it is so much scarier than before. There's not even track below you on the edge. Wayyy cool ride, much better the second time. We rode Apollo's Chariot again, this time with a longer line. That ride is always fun, a classic B&M Speed Machine. It was getting dark, near closing time, and it looked like it was about to rain, so we decided to get one last ride on Big Bad Wolf. It just got more fun the second ride. I think it's on of the best suspended coasters. So, we rode the trams back to the parking lot, and headed home. All in all, I had a really wonderful time.
