I finally got around to re-sizing these pictures from my trip to SFStL from earlier in the season. I had decided not to upload them as I had just done a PTR of the park with a video not too much earlier. However, now that I looked over the pictures again they are just too good not to upload! Hope you enjoy, I can't talk too much as I don't really remember much.
Welcome to SFStL, please let us rip you off here, and then proceed to park.
Good thing they had these, now parents can just say "Shut up Joey, the park will tell you when we're there!"
Characters were out in full force.
We went straight for Ninja, which sadly had a 30 minute wait. That tells you just how crowded the park was! (It's almost ALWAYS a walk-on.) They had also put in some new signs this season.
See? They were all over the queue.
Some of them seemed badly worded and dull...
...while others were slightly funny and corny.
Ninja's queue offers a lot of nice views. This one is Batman through the...
I remember this part being terrifying on my first ride.
The one rough spot on the ride. Not too bad if you brace yourself.
There will be A LOT more of these to come.
More of B:TR from Ninja's queue.
Second vertical loop.
Ahh yes, Superman is the best flat in the park, and it had just reopened the weekend we were there!
Who cares about all those silly little kids who can't find their ways, if the parents get lost then they are definitely the ones who need help!
I love Superman Tower of Power.
It's so beautiful and extremely thrilling. Go Intamin drop towers!
Eagle's sign finally got moved and repainted.
Now the eagle in the queue could use some work.
Eagle's queue offers up some unique views of Boss.
Betcha haven't seen this one before.
It also gives nice views of Eagle itself.
And Mr. Freeze! Man, SE's queue is the place to be!
Eagle uses the extra long bakes. I like the short ones better (will be pictured later).
THBS's first drop.
The entrance.
Xcalibur. Second best flat in the park.
It was hot. We decided to ride Thunder River; and trust me, we don't mind getting soaked AT ALL.
Thunder River goes all the way around Mr. Freeze. Which in turn allows for some amazing pictures.
These are the best rapids I've ever been on.
And this is the best shuttle I've ever been on.
I wont say it.
Yes please.
The Boss just seems to peek out of the trees everywhere.
Mr. Freeze looked really nice on the top hat and overbank, but I guess they didn't think anyone would see this part so they didn't repaint it. Also, if you look closely you can see that I caught a dude breaking the rules. Man in the front seat is holding a camera. Bad!
It's Boss time.
Boss was running AMAZING.
It was VERY smooth...
...and had TONS of airtime!
Xcalibur peeks over the trees.
SF did a great job on Boss's rehab.
It's strongly in my top woodie spot. I don't think EK can beat it...
Coming off of the MCBR.
And the journey begins.
After the air-filled double-down it throws you through an air-filled double-up. --Heaven--
THBS's line was way too long.
Operations were great...
...but it just doesn't have the capacity to handle big SF crowds.
I'm sure it didn't help that we went on a Saturday.
But it looks pretty cool.
This photo serves two purposes:
-To show how crowded it was.
-To show how odd Tony Hawk looks in the middle of Britannia.
Foot chopper!
The dang leaf just had to ruin the picture didn't it?
Directly below the zero-g.
Don't know what happened here.
Over at the mine ride it seems that a new braking system has been installed including new proximity switches...
...and the most awesome brakes i have ever seen. --Orgasmic--
Thanks for reading!
