Smoky Mountain Christmas runs from November 10 - December 30, 2007. This year's highlight's include an all new Santa's Workshop, the new breakfast with Santa, and the return of Dollywood's Babes In Toyland marking the parks biggest lineup of Christmas shows ever! For some reason this is my favorite photo I took. (Up front in the picture wreaths adorn the light post of the main walkways, in the background are three trees that are part of the Carol of the Trees show.) Carol of the Trees is where each night thousands of lights and pyrotechnics synchronize with holiday music to transform the Rivertown Lake in to a "seasonal symphony for the senses." During Smoky Mountain Christmas the fountain sprouts a giant Christmas Tree decorated with a toy theme. Now on to Dollywood's Babes In Toyland the parks most elaborate stage production ever. "Here come the Christmas parade!" Yes I know it's blurry but it's hard to take good action pictures without my flash. Dollywood made small improvements to enhance the show experience including adding more acrobat moments to the production. "An old fashioned Christmas"

"Welcome to Toyland!" Hey look the cow jumped over the moon......(top right of picture.) This seems like it would hurt. The Chinese acrobats did an amazing job. The spider got loose from the forest. Toy soldiers abound everywhere. The "medium" soldiers do gun tricks. Here comes the big guy, and no not Santa Claus a 15 foot tall General. Flying over 1,700 audience members.

^^If you think that is "unique" have you ever seen a webkinz tree. They have one in the Kids department of the Emporium. I didn't get a picture of it though.
^Thanks! And it was fun.

Nice pictures, this seems like an event that would be really fun to go to.
Were any coasters or flats open? I can see why coasters wouldn't be open, but flats not so much

The only exception during Smoky Mountain Christmas at Dollywood is water rides. ALL other rides including coasters are open until the temperature drops below 40 degrees. At 39 degrees Mystery Mine, Thunderhead, Tennessee Tornado and Timber Tower shut down do to the type of rides they are. The rest don't close until it gets a lot colder. The indoor rides such as Blazing Fury and Smoky Mountain Adventure Tours more than likely wouldn't close unless the entire park did.

The last of the pictures Goofy reindeer time:I really like the looks of the Christmas lights in the background of this picture. By the ice cream portion of the Sweet Shoppe. In the planters. In front of the Spotlight Bakery. Blurry pictures but show how many lights they really have:Blue tree going towards Craftsmen's Valley. Fountain tree at night. Tree between Southern Gospel Museum and Hall of Fame and the Dollywood Emporium. Sorry for how blurry they are! Now time for the boring facts:Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Christmas festivals runs now until December 30, 2007. The festival features over 3.5 million lights, dozens of holiday shows and loads of new food items to get the holidays underway. Special Features of Smoky Mountain Christmas:-Over 3.5 million lights. -An all new Santa's Workshop -New breakfast with Santa on specific days from 9:30 a.m. till noon. -New ticket option "Arrive after 6 p.m. and wrap up the next day free" -If you bring in a new unwrapped toy from now until December 14th to a ticket booth to donate to Toys-For-Tots you can receive $5 off one day admission. -There entertainment line-up includes two shows which were nominated for this year's IAAPA best overall production "Dollywood's Babes In Toyland" and "Twas The Night Before Christmas." -The country's largest Christmas Pyramid. -PLUS COASTERS AT NIGHTIf you go I would highly recommend seeing:-Babes In Toyland -Christmas In The Smokies -Carol of the Tree And one last parting reindeer shot: Merry Christmas

Forgot to post this one. It is the new concept art for River Battle which opens in 2008! This and a picture of what Splash Country is adding next year is on the little billboard across from the tram pick up area.
