Alright, each quarter I pick one class that I see I need to really work harder on.
This quarter I chose Advanced Algebra and Trig because I got a C for the last quarter.
I work extra hard and pull out with a 92.4. (one tenth of a point away from an A)
That's alright, it's a B, but it's better than a C.
But that's not the problem here.
The class consists mostly of seniors. There are three juniors, including me. Most of the seniors were exempt from the exam. (90+ average/no more 3 absences). There were about 8 that still had to take the exam today. (they take them early because of graduation)
LOWERCLASSMEN TAKE EXAMS ON FRIDAY.
My teacher gives me a scan card today.
"Miss....err....Coach Walker, I'm a junior."
"Everybody's taking the exam today."
WTF? I hadn't studied at all except for the review sheets we've been doing. I thought I had 4 more nights to prepare for the exam.
I only completed about half of the exam before running out of time. I had to fill in the rest. Needless to say I (and my parents) am not too happy. There was no indication that juniors would be taking the exam with the seniors 5 days early. If she had told us, it wouldn't have been a problem. But she didn't.
Not too happy...

I'm sure you dont' want to hear this but that bites!
I didn't get why some teachers do these kind of things. I have/had teachers do similar things (Never on a final though) tell us something is due on Friday then walk in on Wednesday and collect it. Then sometimes it goes the exact opossite they asign the paper for Friday and they don't collect it for several class periods later which is fine it gives the slackers more time but it frustrates me when I actually did the work on time and they never collect it then they turn around give us a different assignment and collect it before they tell us....grrr!
I see your frustration and I don't know what the teacher is like so this may or may not be a good decision (especially if you will have them next year) I would go and talk to them myself or have your parent either go in or call them about it, and if they don't want to listen you or your parents should go to either the guidence counselors or principle.

I got a 75 on the exam. I know she curved it somehow. There is no way I only missed 5 questions.
And my average for the semester? an 84.2, which is a C.
My parents are not happy.

You all must be overacheivers or something. Here, A's start at 89.5%.
In all seriousness though, that really sucks. Get your parents to call the school. Maybe they'll let you retake it...

I'm going to talk to our awesome guidance counselor tomorrow.
I cannot confront this teacher. We call her Coach Walker Texas Ranger for a reason... She's not a very pleasant person. If that makes me a whimp, then I'm a whimp.

I took another exam, but I doubt I did as well on it. I only had two nights to study for it.

One time in 8th grade science I had a 20 something percent. I decided to give up after I found that out...And what do you know, I passed middle school like everyone else!
Middle school's a joke
