Nah. Don't think that's safe to say at all. The most likely time for a coaster to roll back would be in the early testing stages, and most (excluding Accelerators, as their motors have to warm up) don't do that.

I can attest to at least half of all the coasters at Six Flags St. Louis alone coming to an unexpected halt along their course at some point in time.
The point is valleying isn't a big deal, TONS of coasters do it.

WildCat was fun but doesn't suit Cedar Point well. I think they should get rid of it as well and replace it with a Gerstauler spinner or somthing like that.

I do too, but I think they aren't because they are being stubborn about the "coaster title."

^ They could replace it with that boomerang they got laying around from Geauga Lake.

^I forgot about that. A lot of Cedar Fair parks has a Vekoma Boomerang except CP which is their main park. They could possibly put it in its spot since there is more land that extends back from Wild Cat that's open too. Wild Cat isn't very popular either. Most people only go to CP not for WildCat but for MF, TTD, WT, Maverick, ect. Not the smaller things. I'm not saying the smaller things aren't cool and they can get busy at time too for when kids go. WildCat is still fun though. Maybe they could somehow fit it somewhere else in the park since it's small and build another coaster in its spot so they can have the title of 18 coasters.

Nah, I don't see them replacing Wildcat for a Boomerang. For one, they would be cutting it close on space in that spot. Wildcat is perfect because it doesn't interfere with the laser show, a Boomerang would jut out into the midway, probably interfering with the show. Secondly, they would be replacing a family coaster with an adult coaster, which wouldn't go over too well with large families with kids, keep in mind that they outnumber us enthusiasts by a great number. Also keep in mind that inversions automatically make the height restriction higher. Lastly, I don't think it would go to Cedar Point because when's the last time you have seen a used coaster at Cedar Point? They get nothing but brand new coasters designed specifically for Cedar Point. If, say, they would get the Boomerang. I doubt they'd remove a coaster for it, and I'd hope that they'd get a new lap-bar-only train like the one on Weiner Prater's Boomerang.
Also, technically they already have 18 coasters if you count Gemini as two. I never understood why Cedar Point never counted them as two. Yes they share the same structure, but they are still two separate tracks nonetheless.

They haven't built a used coaster but when was the last time they had one lying around? I think it would be a great opportunity for the park. Maybe in another spot.
Wildcat's spot would make for a great Tony Hawk-like coaster, too.

Yeah, if they were to get a used coaster, the least they could also do would be to buy those new trains that only use a lap bar. That would make the ride so much better.
Yeah, I agree, have said in many other threads, and have been saying for years that Cedar Point really needs a modern Wild Mouse-type coaster. They could also use a family wooden coaster, such as a GCI or one similar to Ravine Flyer II. One right on the beach would be cool, like Great White at Morey's Piers. At this year's Coastermania Q&A, I believe that some of the executives being questioned said that they would love to eventually build a coaster that went out over Lake Erie. That would be cool.

I'm sure it will be the 500-footer that goes out over the lake.
Pretty soon they're going to have to get creative with the ride placements... they seem to be running out of room.

^Ever been to the park? There's still a lot of room. Look at parks like Knott's and Nickelodeon Universe, did anyone expect them to keep adding big coasters?
If they were to remove Wild Cat, there really isn't a coaster that would be good to replace it. The footprint is just too small.

^ Then why did they remove the log flume for Maverick?

Because Maverick has a large footprint and apparently they thought the log flume wasn't needed. Trust me they still have room.

Cedar Point has alot of room left. They could easily fit a few more coasters in.
