www.wwj.com/pages/2228089.php?I hope they get rid of it. The cars are too small. I'm only 6'1" and my legs are cramped in there. It's been at least 3 or 4 years since I've ridden it, and I have no desire to do so ever again. I've been saying for years that they should scrap Wildcat and get a modern wild mouse similar to Tony Hawk, Dark Knight, etc. According to Screamscape, Maverick valleyed yesterday. It could have been because it was a little too cold and/or windy in the morning, that'll do it. It's good to know that they got it up and running again in such a short time.

I hope they get rid of it as well. For a park as "great" as Cedar Point, this coaster doesn't match up to their lineup of coasters.

Ah man, that sounds painfull. At leased they can say they survived a roller coaster crash though. That would be pretty intense.

This ride isnt that fun, and all of the cars barely ever made it over the hills, it was only a matter of time before this happened. I say sell it to another park that could use it.
EDIT- I misread, it seems it rolled back on the lift... hmmm, problem with the anti-rollback dogs?

^Yeah, apparently they just failed. Didn't know that really happened...
There's probably a little under a hundred anti-rollback dogs on that short lift. I'm still in awe that all of them can fail. I wonder how far up the hill it was...

I added another story. Didn't think it was big enough to warrant creation of a whole new thread, and there was already a Cedar Point accident thread, so I just made it a two for one.

Raptor vallied before the cobra roll a year or so back, it's not too big of a deal that it happened on Maverick. You're probably right that was just too cold or windy.

I hope they DO remove Wildcat because IMHO I think it is better suited for a carnival than the world's best theme park.

Back from CP Raptor vallied before the cobra roll a year or so back, it's not too big of a deal that it happened on Maverick. You're probably right that was just too cold or windy. Oh yea it was cold. Dragster was only launching 2 per train for an hour it was so cold. Here is the pic I took of mavie stuck. Enjoy!

^ That dosn't have anything to do with it. A rollback can occur at any time due to a gust of wind or cold temperature...

^^So then I suppose Hershey isn't taking care of it's ONLY park? Like coasterescape said, the way they treat their rides doesn't have much to do with the ride rolling back. If so, Cedar Fair should've stopped neglecting Dragster the first year it opened.

I think it'd be safe to say nearly every coaster rolls back/valleys at least once in its lifetime.
