JACKSONVILLE, Fla., June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Officials at PARC Management,
LLC today announced that an agreement has been reached to purchase the
operations of Magic Springs & Crystal Falls from current owner, Magic Springs
Development Co., LLC. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Magic Springs & Crystal Falls join a group of seven other family oriented
parks purchased by PARC Management in 2007 from Six Flags, Inc. Located in
Hot Springs, AR, the combination theme and water park is currently open daily.
"It is our vision, and our mission, to bring high-quality, value oriented,
family entertainment to our guests," said Randal H. Drew, CEO of PARC
Management. "With the acquisition of Magic Springs and Crystal Falls, our
team has the opportunity to capitalize on the synergies between this property
and our other destinations across the country."
Park General Manager Dan Aylward will continue in his leadership position,
supported by the seasoned staff at PARC Management.
"I have been privileged to work with the guests and team members at Magic
Springs for more than five years," said Aylward. "And now, I am even more
thrilled to continue in my role under the new ownership, and new leadership,
of PARC Management."
The shareholders of Magic Springs Development Co. LLC expressed their
appreciation for the support the park has enjoyed from the residents and
officials of the local community and the state of Arkansas. "Without the
support and vision of local and state leadership, this park would never have
been a reality," said Ed Hart, the development company's largest shareholder.
"We thank everyone who has played a role in making Magic Springs an important
community asset and major visitor attraction for the region."
For the 2008 season, Magic Springs & Crystal Falls added an all-new, six
slide ProRacer slide complex called Rapid Falls Raceway. The 50-foot tall,
multi-slide attraction allows guests to race more than 310 feet on specially
designed racing mats.
