So my family and I arrived at The Disneyland Resort around 4:30 where we headed to get our tickets to ride Midway Mania. Then we headed straight to Toy Story Mania (or what ever it is called) and the line was nice. Unfortunately Mr Potato head was blocked off but the rest was good. We went into a room with posters advertising the games and other stuff. After we grabbed our glasses and headed to the loading area. We got on and I was sitting next to my brother. Finally the ride began and I was shocked from that first moment. Entering the scenery was pretty good then we had a practice session. It was extremely easy and was much less difficult that I was anticipating. After that I was soooo hyped. We headed towards the main ride which began with Hamm and Eggs, a game where you shoot eggs to knock down ducks. It was really entertaining as the vehicles stopped and Hamm comes out to introduce is game. After we headed to Baa-loon Pop! This was where you shot darts at Balloons. The shocker here is that on certain balloons, when you popped them, giant shots of air blew into your face so I couldn’t even tell it was a screen. Moving on we reached, the Green Army Men’s Shooting Camp. At this game you shoot Baseballs at plates. Nothing special here except the occasional blast of air. Continuing to move reached, my favorite, Buzz and Aliens Fly Tossers. The objective was to throw rings around the targets. The aliens shot water at you which was really fun and then if you throw the ring around the rocket it goes flying into your face which made me duck. I have to say that some of the highest valued targets were nearly impossible for me to get. Reaching the end we had Woody’s and Jessi’s game, I forgot the name. Anyways this one was unique in every target you hit activate more targets which if you hit those would come flying into your face. This one was nice as we began to move slowly again to the next screens we continued to blast at those targets then the final game came with the prospector. Shooting at mine cars with values this one is where you receive all of your points. All and all this far exceeded my expectations. The scenery was excellent, the games were loads of fun, the duration was nice and the problems were minimal. I only noticed one screen, one time out of all 3 times I rode it that didn’t function for that game. Other than that I was pleasantly surprised. Besides Soarin’ I believe that this is the best ride in both parks that isn’t a coaster. The line moved fast and what really shocked me was the way the ride worked. There were I’d say about 6 or 7 transfer tracks. The main games were divided into two sections. Both had the same games but were separated by a transfer track. This made the veichles consitantly move so the same affect took place in line. Loading and unloading was fast and I honestly can’t say enough good things about the ride. My only downfall was the location of the bins to drop off your glasses after the ride. They are easy to miss if you don’t look carefully. Anyways overall great ride. I recommend it to anyone that goes to Disney’s California Adventure. It was just amazing.
