Day One - EmbarkationAfter a two-and-a-half hour flight to Miami, a Hampton Inn, and a taxi-van, we finally got to the ship. It's quite massive in person. Before we could board, we had to stand in a nice line. This one actually moved pretty quick. Six Flags should take note. This would be Uncle Steve. The guy in the hat in the previous picture is Uncle Steven. Confusing? Yes. Take notes. You'll be quizzed. Super-cool Michael in the super-cool glass tunnel-bridge-thing that took us to the super-cool boat. Super-cool. The main lobby was quite elegant. This guy played piano behind the bar every night. And I love glass-wall elevators. This storm's eating of Miami was one reason I didn't see it for the next eight days. The other is that I was 1100 miles away. Club O 2, the teen club, was equipped with everything you'll ever need: music, TVs, couches, and stripper poles. Mr. Storm says "Rawr, My-aym-ee, I'ma eat you!" The Hispanics were able to rebuild the whole city in eight days though. Amazing. These rocks were like, the tip of the United States. If I could've touched them, I would've been the happiest little gay person ever. And this would be the Paris Dining Room, where we ate at exactly 6:00 PM every night. Look for Day 2 later today!

@ Zack: Yeah...super-cool. Never did venture up there when everything was in full swing. I guess my moral unconscious kept me away. Day Two - Half Moon CayHalf Moon Cay (pronounced "Key") was Carnival's private island in the Bahamas. It easily had the best water out of all the islands we visited. The Triumph from the tender (those little boats in the previous picture). Half Moon Cay was the only island without a ship dock. Ironic. The ship from an angle that makes it look smaller than it really is and a bird. And this isn't the last you'll see of these invasive creatures. I apologize to Uncle Kenny for posting this picture of him, but I felt that every update needed a picture of someone. Half Moon Cay from our balcony. Whoever decided that you could sit on a balcony in the middle of the ocean was a genius. This whole cruise is thanks to this lady. She'll be turning 75 later on in the trip. Go MomMom! These eyes were staring you down everywhere in the Lido Deck buffet. Scary. Look for Day 3 later tonight!

@ John: Carnival did a great job entertaining everyone. And thanks. Day Three - First Day At SeaThis was the view for all of Tuesday. The boat was rockin' like crazy, and it wasn't 'cause of any Newlyweds. Nick doesn't like his picture taken. But he had to get over that, 'cause when I get a camera I tend to take loads. Pretty much the eye of the storm. We detoured around this and then picked up speed at night to make up for it. Go Cap'n LaFauci! From left to right: Stephanie, Uncle _____ (quiztime!), Auntie 'O, and Mike. Crazy family. We love 'em. And this'd be the first of many towel animals to come. There was a new one every night. Look for Day 4 later on!
