Opinions?
I've been looking into it lately, and after trying it out in RCT3, it looks painful. Plain and simple.
The restraints are going to have to be top-notch. You'll get tossed around alot. And the track being manufactured by Vekoma!? I will admit: Everest was a smooth ride. But only time will tell...
So what park should get one. I think Disney-MGM would be awesome to have a star tours vresion! That would be great to be flying through space battling it out. And there's another thing: interactivity, could this be a new type of "family" dark ride attraction.
Once again, only time will tell.
Thoughts?

I think the robo coaster sounds awesome! It seems like it could get the same kind of feeling X gives you. The feeling that you are going out of control, or kind of like there is no control. It's hard to explain, but I love that feeling of "Helplessness" I know it sounds weird, but it is really hard to describe...I want to ride one!!

I think it would be entirely possible, but there would be restrictions. In order to keep the robotic arm from ripping apart from high G's, you would only be able to be turned in certain directions at certain times. So much thought would have yo be put into the choreography of the robotics. I honestly dont see these things being anything more than dark rides, I cant see them going fast, doing inversions, or being all that big.

I guess I need to ride the robo-arm ride to get a better feel for it.

It would take tons of calculation to keep the riders safe. To me riding on a coaster track made by Vekoma of all people whilst being flung (for lack of a better word) around insanely seems like it would not be comfortable.
