I thought about this after reading Matt's reply in the B&M vs. Intamin thread.
Since B&M really doesn't have ALOT of variety, do you think they'll ever venture out into wood?
Imagine a 4-abreast wooden coaster, with B&M intensity. Think of the possibilities...
Thoughts?

No way, B&M said in an interview somewhere that they want to stick to what they do best. Look at all the trouble Intamin had to go through to make all of their "variety". It gave them a bad name in some ways. I think B&M will stay smart and just improvise on proven ideas they are already good at. If they were to make anything wood, however, it would definitely be similar to Intamin pre-fab track.

I doubt it, IMO. They don't really seem like they will ever change what they do, but who knows?

Doubtful, but it would be an amazing wooden coaster!
Maybe a hybrid (AKA Hades/Voyage)?

I hope not. I don't want them to end uo like Vekoma. Actually, I'd like to see their design ideas.

I think they could fail worse with a 4-D than a woodie, how about you guys? It could happen, but is unlikely that they will go wood.

Since B&M really doesn't have ALOT of variety, do you think they'll ever venture out into wood? Sit-down, floorless, flying, dive-machine, stand-up, inverted, hyper....is that not a wide variety? (Don't mean to sound rude) I think we should stick with Intamin making the woodies.

Yeah, that is alot, but compared to Intamins' variety:
Half Pipe Coaster Looping Coaster Accelerator Coaster Aqua Trax Ball Coaster Children's Roller Coaster Giga Coaster Impulse Coaster Indoor / Family Roller Coaster Mega Coaster Mine Train Coaster Reverse Freefall Coaster Space Diver Spiral Coaster Stand-Up Coaster Suspended Catapult Coaster Suspended Looping Coaster Swiss Bob Twist and Turn Coaster Twisted Impulse Coaster Wooden Coaster It is...

According to the Intamin website, they are currently marketing: Looping coaster Giga Coaster Spiral Coaster Mega Coaster Standup Coaster Twisted Impulse Coaster Twist and Turn Coaster Reverse Freefall Coaster Accelerator Suspended Catapault Coaster (inverted launch) Suspended Looping Coaster Mine Train Coaster Indoor Coaster Family Coaster Wooden Coaster They also talk about a 10 inversions coaster, but I'm thinking it's just a looping coaster, and it appears they've discontinued the Space Diver, making SFMM's flashback a TRUE one-of-a-kind antique! And the Half Pipe is marketed as a thrill ride. www.ridetrade.com/default2.htm
