Is it just me or is 2007 going to be a slower year than usual?
It must be because of Six Flag's "family is us!" mid-life crisis deal, because the only major coasters (that have been confirmed) are:
- Mystery Mine - Griffon - Maverick - Renegade
Six Flags normally opens 2-3 major coasters as well.
Thoughts?

Well we know that there are approved plans for two Gerstlauer spinners to go to SFStL, and either SFFT, or SFoT. Im sure that these will be announced soon, though I guess they might be equalized by the removal of various Premier coasters at SF parks accross the nation. I realy hope they can find a way to make them work, Mr. Freeze is one of the best rides at SFStL, but with SF in so much debt, I dont know if they can make it. (NOTE- the removal of Premier rides at SF parks is simply a RUMOR at this point.)

^ I'm not sure if they're willing to spend the money to remove them. They might just turn into "Flashbacks" if you get what I mean.

rcdb.com/installationresult.htm?column=1,2,3,26,4,5&order=1,2&opened=2007&status=9,13 New coasters for the 2007 Season...so far. Let's see, the good ones should be: -Griffon -Maverick -Mystery Mine -Renegade -Desert Race And the Wing Walker going to Port Adventura could be cool. But besides those 6, nothing really. Wow, it really could be a slow season! *The link refuses to fully become a URL, so if you want to view that page, please copy/paste it into your URL box*

I just checked on how many major coasters that were opened this year and compared the number to last year and wow! This is a really slow year.

Maybe its due to SF trying to do a complete 180, and the fact that CF just spent a lot of money buying out Paramount.

Well a lot more has been announced: (According to http://www.rcdb.com) Cobra Crush's Coaster Desert Race Flying Fish Flying Turns Furious Baco Griffon Hollywood Dream: The Ride Journey To Atlantis Kirnu Maverick Meteor Mystery Mine Pirates Hideaway Rage Renegade Rick's Delight Starliner Tidal Wave Traversee Des Alpes Vertigo Vliegene Hollander Wipeout Then it also list 14 as unknown names. But still not as many as 2005 or 2006. Hopefully some parks are just wanting to make late announcements and more will still be announced (I highly dought it though.) I think that it will just be a low year for coasters.

^Yeah it does look pretty cool. It would definetly be the biggest fair style roller coaster I would have ever rode.
