SourceA recent study has suggested that Six Flags Magic Mountain's Goliath, is too rough. Last Year, 18 riders blacked out during, or after riding Goliath. Magic Mountain was rated second to last for park safety last year as well, only beating an unnamed park in Virginia. However, a park Spokeswomen, Sue Carpenter said, "We don't mess around when it comes to safety of our guests, or our rides," she also noted that the park's rides meet the state safety regulations. Magic Mountain, reportedly, reports all injuries to the state. Which shows less than 80 incidents in the park the past 5 years.

This is why you read the signs and warnings before you ride, because when people find out afterwards they blame the park and not themselves.
Be in decent physical capacity, know your limits, don't be pregnant, stick with your physical limitations...

^ 18 people in one season is quite a bit though...and that's just the cases that were reported.

^I'm sure it was nothing serious. The GP doesn't realize that gray out is completely normal and they're going to report the most minor of events. I can remember being at SFStL and seeing a person complaining that Boss and Ninja gave them a headache. Honestly, thats not anything big, but they still have to report it if someone complains. 18 people blacking out on Goliath doesn't really hold much merit to classify the ride as too rough to me. I'm sure that people black out on B:TRs across the world all the time, and there's nothing wrong with them.

Ok, I think people need to know the difference between "blacking out" and actually passing out. I get "Tunnel vision" ALL the time on coasters...it's just what happens when you pull a few G's for a certain amount of time. Having tunnel vision on coasters is normal.
However, these stories happen all the time also, so I wouldn't really think anything of it. Dangerousness in a public area where people wouldn't think of health risks always make good stories for the news....

Goliath is a great coaster, everyone greys out when they ride it, it's normal. ;D
I greyed out when i rode it, but it wasn't that bad. I greyed out on the back seat of MF also. If they have health problems to begin with, they shouldn't even be riding it.
