Since there are a few people here that have probably been to both BGE and BGA (including me), I think we can get a pretty good debate going.
Here's what I wrote at TPR:
I went to BGE when I was nine years old or somewhere around then. It was my first major themepark after Opryland so I was sorta taken away by the whole thing. Back then, I didn't like riding coasters but it was awesome watching them.
I think BGE is a better overall park than BGA, but I think part of that could be the "everything looks bigger and badder when you're younger." I could go to BGE this summer and go, whoa, this park isn't anything like what I remember it to be.
The thing I didn't like about BGA is however much they tried to cover it up, I felt like I was in the middle of a city (which I was), when you have an African theme like that, I gotta feel like I'm going somewhere, and hearing the cars and everything 20 yards away sorta ruined it (in some parts of the park, not completely). But they cannot help that it's not really a big deal when you're there to ride some rides.
BGA also had a very old feel to it, as if it had aged alot and had just had some paint put over it, not really anything new. This is probably the same at BGE, but because of the "Old Europe" theme, it is hidden better.
As for ride selections, I feel they're about the same. Sheikra is great and I'm sure Griffon is too. I think both parks have their ride strengths and weaknesses, but they counteract each other.
Basically both parks are great, but I'd probably lean towards BGE in which one is better overall.

Well, Tyler is the only one who can truely answer this. But I'm gonna go with BGE. It looks way nicer, and the environment looks amazing.

Comparing the parks' appearance: BGE definately isn't a park that just looks hige when you're smaller, the coasters are amazing no matter how old you are. I was really surprised at the size of each coaster, they all seemed bigger than I thought they'd be. The only thing at BGA that I found huge was SheiKra, everything else just seemed like normal-sized coasters. BGE wins in this category in my opinion.
Comparing the parks' theming: BGE had a lot of different countries, comething that's always cool to explore because it's unique. At BGA, I didn't feel much of a difference between the different areas of the park, with the obvious exclusion of Egypt, which is very different from everything else. It was also pretty cool to be able to say that we "went" in every country (meaning that we used the bathroom in England, France, Germany, and Italy), so BGE wins in this one too.
Comparing the parks' coasters: Griffon vs. SheiKra - Griffon's 100 feet shorter, but it's got the floorless aspect as well as the second immelmann. It's also got more airtime to it. However, it isn't as well themed as SheiKra, but that doesn't affect the ride experience in my opinion.
Alpengeist vs. Montu - Alpengeist really rattled last weekend, which really sucks because it looks like an amazing ride. The cobra roll, in my opinion, was also taken a little too fast, which really provided some nice headbanging in the back. Montu had some more forces, so I think I'd have to do with it in this matchup.
Apollo's Chariot vs. Kumba - Kumba was being painted when we were at BGA, so it's unfair for me to rate it. However, by appearance, and having riden Apollo's Chariot, I would say that it looks like a better coaster. I doubt that Kumba would beat it for me.
Big Bad Wolf/Loch Ness Monster vs. Scorpion - The BGE duo definately wins here, I was pleasantly surprised with BBW and LNM provided a lot more airtime and a lot less headbanging than I expected. Scorpion was fun, but nothing really more than that.
Comparing the parks overall: I think that I enjoyed BGE more than BGA overall. The coaster selection has a slight edge in my opinion, and the theming was better than what I remember from BGA. I felt more immersed into my surroundings at BGE as well. Plus, it's a lot closer to my house (3.5 hour drive rather than 2 hour plane, 1 hour drive)!
