Just a random thread, what would some names be changed to if Cedar Fair bought the Disney parks?
Rock n' Rollercoaster - Loud music coaster.
Expedition Everest - Mountain: The Ride
Space Mountain - Pod
Mission: SPACE - Flight into Space
Continue on! Feel free to redo any of these if you have a better one!

John Stevenson- CF hater
People will find something to gripe about no matter what you do, and its f4cking annoying me.
Disney- tower in Cal. not good enough, not enough new rides, etc CF- concrete, trash cans, shade, ride names, etc SF- theming, clones, operations, cleanliness, staff, etc Griffon- too similar to Sheikra Renegade- not enough airtime Fahrenheit- dumb name, bad layout, not enough airtime, boring, low capacity Behemoth- too trimmed, not 85 degree drop Led Zeppelin- not forceful enough, too generic layout Steel Hawg- painful, crappy Anything- some insignificant retarded gripe
My god people grow up and start looking at the good.
Disney- great theming and fun family rides CF- many parks with a wide variety of thrill rides SF- see above All the rides- you're getting a BRAND NEW RIDE, get over yourself, the park could just add NOTHING if the ride is that horrible!

I do agree with Justin on this one. It's one thing to joke around on how bad at something a park can be, but some people complain about everything.. And to be honest, I think they should just stop their coaster riding "hobby" because to me it looks like they hate it.

^^I love how half those griped are about coasters that aren't even open yet!
I like CF. I don't see what they've done wrong. Excluding GL (which was headed down anyway), they've fairly distributed rides throughout years. Granted, Cedar Point is probably given the most, that is their flagship park. But Knott's, Dorney, and Valleyfair! have all gotten great attractions within the past two years, and two more of their parks are getting coasters for 2008. I think they're doing a pretty decent job, personally.

^^I love how half those griped are about coasters that aren't even open yet! Exactly, people are nit picking out horrible things about rides they have never even ridden! Reading ride construction threads is almost painful nowadays. It's not about the construction, it's about how bad the ride will be!

Sorry you feel that way, but I'm standing by my initial post. I don't complain about too many things.
Cedar Fair is a horrible company.
I believe they cheated alot of people out by closing Geauga Lake.
And with their crappy naming-ability, I think they're pathetic.
They treat their Cedar Point as if it's the best thing in the world. They favor it. I understand how it's their biggest money maker. But buying a nearby park and killing the compeition?
Mind you, I'm talking about the corporate CF here. I'm sure the general managers have a bit more good in them.
Cedar Fair is a group of old hags and businessmen. They're whimps.
Back on track:
Dinosaur - Big scary monster. Tower of Terror - Office Building Viewing Fall Ride BTMR - ROCK - The ride.

The name doesn't affect the ride, John. If it bothers you so much, then don't go their parks (which I'm sure you don't).

^ Of course it doesn't affect the ride, but when it's an obvious lazy attempt, it gets noticed by the community.
Sorry, I am not in the minority here. (not at TPR at least)
Once again, I complain very little, but this crappy naming by Cedar Fair gets to me. I'd rather them reuse names like Six Flags does with Goliath than "Flight Deck"
That's my only pet peeve out of all of those. Chillax.
Here's a great post explaining why Flight Deck shouldn't be a coaster name:

But who cares if it shouldn't be a coaster name? I'm not going to look at a name and think, "This will determine whether or not I ride."
Of course, if the name was "ULTRA TOGO DEATH MACHINE", I might take a seat.

If you think CF is run poorly, then there isn't a company in the world that is run right. Six Flags does the same exact stuff; favoring parks that get the most business, buyouts, closings, etc. Ever heard of Wal-Mart? All companies make business decisions to get more money, welcome to the corporate world, buddy.

Not to get off topic, but Wal-Mart sucks.

Alright, I can understand that. But they drove GL into the ground. They knew what they were doing.
California Screamin' - Mouse vs. Coaster
Maliboomer - Launch Pad Area
Mullholland Madness - Road map!
Test Track - Cars going very fast
