I know their target audience isn't America. All they're doing is lending their brand to this Arabian group. (correct me if I'm wrong)

I think this was a good move. Since Dubai is the fastest growing city in the world It may be a huge city in the future...

Really. . .why travel half way across the world when there are two better parks across the contry? I'm sorry, but when did we decide that the Busch parks in the good 'ol (sarcasm) U.S. were better than the four new parks being built in Dubai, none of which we know the slightest bit about? ^Exactly. Busch is making a genius move. They're buying in to what is quickly becoming the largest tourist trap in the world. It's almost as high-end as Wisconsin. Almost.

^I heard it's very expensive to travel to Dubai.

It is. But if the city continues with the rapid expansion that they've got going for them now, the tourists will come. Sail-shaped and donut-shaped hotels, palm-tree islands, islands shaped like the countries of the world, a seven-part amusement center/resort on land, and a four-park center on an island - Dubai's gonna bring people in.

I don't think you guys are getting what it is about Dubai. They are so incredibly rich, (Like others said) so they build some awesome stuff. They are so incredibly addicted to money, they just like spending massive amounts of money on stuff like artificial islands. It's not just some random place in the middle of nowhere, it's a place that keeps getting richer and richer, because they can charge big amounts of money on oil. I'm sure it gets a ton of tourists from Europe...Not so much from America, though, as it's not really a good time for an American to travel to the middle east.

What I'm worried about more than anything is security. Dubai is dangerously close to warzones and terrorist countries. With attracting so many people, they are just asking to be attacked. If I were them (and I'm sure they are) I'd be putting most of the profits back into security. Now I know very little about Dubai, so I could be worried over nothing, but you can never be too sure.

^Nawww, they have tons of attractions already. Dubai is an amazing place...And I'm pretty sure the terrorists don't have anything against the people of Dubai..I think it's mostly americans they don't like..

Exactly my point. A good amount of tourists who visit Dubai are American, and the majority of them are not of Middle Eastern descent. Perfect and easy targets for insurgents.

I like Shamu.

I like that Shamu is in a tank on an island that's being built over her natural habitat. I find the idea of taking a whale out of the ocean, building an island, and putting it in a tank on that island amusing.
But I'm not gonna go all "PETA!!" like some people. PETA's like a group of Christian missionaries for animals. Scary.

I personally think that it is a really cool looking plan. And concerns on the size of the parks I don't think matter. Even though they are just slightly over 100 acres each they could make great use of the space they have for Sea World and Busch. 30 acres is plenty for the water park (Dollywood's Splash Country is the same size and is considered one of the best water parks in America). As for size of Discovery Cove I don't know since I have not looked into the park in Orlando very much. With concerns mentioned about why build outside of the Americas it's simple there is money beyond our borders and companies such as Busch who need vast amount of tourist to fund there parks can only build so many in one country before they start to take away from each other. Plus companies who have money in the global market are more likely to be able to handle recession and depressions better since their assets are not all in one place.
