here is my storm story. well, the biggest storm i have been in wasnt very big cause i live in california! so here it goes.... i was at home and i heared thunder in the distance. (thunder storms happen only about once every year) i was excited, but i didnt know it was gonna get a lot worse! it was very humid outside and the thunder kept getting closer and closer to me! it was cool! anyway, it started hailing BIG hailstones and a lot of them! it was going off and on, and with thunder every minute or so. it started raining VERY hard!! i was really hoping for a funnel cloud or something, but there never was one. so ummm thats my story! sorry, if i lived somewhere with weather, my story would be better!

^Wow, during the spring and summer, that's almost twice a week. Some summers we even have periods of "daily storms". We had a tornado shelter built into our house as a precaution, and in less than 2 years, we've had to use it 3 times. It's almost a part of life now.

^ I would like a lot of storms like that. I LOVE hearing the power the thunder brings when it is close! However, I wouldnt like that there is a chance my house could get hit by a tornado.

Yeah, it used to freak me out. Mainly because my Mom would always freak-out. But now I'm fine.
But watch the tornado come while I'm somewher else, lol.

^Have you ever seen a tornado before? Just curious. I would like to see one some day, but not close enough for it to kill me.

We don't really have tornadoes in Maryland But I've seen a Tornado of Leaves In a parking lot they all started swirling LOL! I kept trying to run thru them but every time I got close the "Twister" moved away

I know, it's an old topic. But hey, for the first time EVER we got out becuase of the chances of Tornadoes! That's never happened to us before, but whatever! If it's gonna get us out of school an hour early, then I love 'em!
And then, there's the possibility of delays tomorrow! This is SWEET!

I didn't mean it like I love tornadoes in general, I just meant that any reason that we have to get out of school, any of us would take it! C'mon, you're gonna tell me that if you had the chance to get out of school for a reason that you know won't come true, you would argue it and try to stay in school?
We all know that we don't get tornadoes here, it was "just a reason" to us. I didn't mean to sound all morbid...

Ah, I didn't mean it like I was upset at you for being so happy about a tornado warning. I said it in case you didn't know that the twister did occur.

Lol, I took it the wrong way I guess. Sorry about that!
Back on topic: I thought that the death toll for that tornado was at least 7? Maybe I'm mistaken, but I could've sworn that it said so on Yahoo...
