Have you ever been in a ''near death experience'' or just have had something really ''rare'' happen to you? Here is a place you can post them! Here is a short one I thought of... One day, I was on a vacation in a cabin a family friend of ours owned. We were able to go for free, so we went about once a month! Anyway, we heard some people talking about a bear they had seen around the area of our cabin. I thought it probably wasn't true, so I wasn't really looking out the window for hours like everyone else was. Marnie, (A person on the trip) walked outside to do something (I cant remember what) and she ran in fast and was yelling ''A bear! A bear!!''. So I looked outside, and sure enough there was a wild bear right across the street! We watched him for about 30 seconds until he walked off into the forest. So, thats my story, its not really extremely exciting, but nothing much happens to me.

^I'd be scared, REALLY scared! ---------------------------------------------------- I might as well go ahead and tell the story: (please read!) It was the end of my fifth grade year anmd was not stop activities, a trip downtown, end of the year skating party, graduations, parties at friends, just super craziness. Well, the day before our last day, I was helping a teacher unplug computers, they were the old kind and I got a small volt of electricity because I was stupid and touched the metal part. (no this isn't the near-death experience)It kinda shook me up but I didn't think anything of it. If you've ever been electricuted, it is a very odd feeling. ( I guess that's why I'm so screwed up today, ) Kinda a vibrating tingling odd feeling. Anyway, our elementary school's tradition is for fifth graders to get a limo ride downtown on the last day. So all the guys piled in one car and drove downtown. It was pure awesomeness. After that we went to this HUGE party where I swear I probably had 4 cokes. Note I haven't been drinking water in days its been so busy. So I get home, a friend comes over to spend the night and we stay up all night. The next day, we get up, go swimming, and go to McDonalds, not knowing what would happen there would pretty much change my life forever. So It's about 100 degrees outside and we're playing in the ballpit. All of a sudden, I get real dizzy and tired. I walk in and ask for my drink from my mom. That's the last thing I remember. THE FOLLOWING IS THE ACCOUNT OF OTHER PEOPLE, NOT ME: I fell back, out black and started convulsing, I was having a seizure. My mom was screaming for someone to call 911 and people all over came and were just watching. I was kinda having the seizure so I didn't see any of this. The firetruck and ambulance came. One of the paramedics came and tried to put an oxygen mask on me. I was in somewhat of a dream so I thought I was still in the ballpit and this dude was trying to smother me! So I started kicking and pushing. I ripped my IV out and blood went everywhere. ( I still have the shirt) NOW BACK TO ME: When I finally came to, I immediately threw up twice, I was about to have a catskan done on my brain. That was a really odd experience. After that, I thanked the paramedics (who stayed to see if I was okay) and apologized for kicking one of them. (though I didn't know what I was doing). I went home after a very hectic day.I had a horrible headache for days but got ANYTHING I wanted, I'm a huge subway fan so I had that twice one day. I went back a couple of weeks later to have more tests done. Everything turned out normal. There was NO explanation as to why I had it. Here are the following "hunches": (a) I had not had any water or that much sleep in days. seizures can be triggered by this so rest up and drink water! (b) During the limo ride I sat sideways, sitting this way and seeing my surroundings moving from side to side also could have triggered it. (c) The electric shock a few days before also could have sparked something in the brain as well. Since this was the first one I had had, it wasn't likely I would have another. If I went nine months without having one, I would probably never have one again. I have not had a seizure in 4 years. It's a sheer miracle I didn't die from hitting the floor so hard! To this day I don't remember anything from the actual seizure. Its also a wonder I'm aloud to ride coasters today. I'm extremely cautious about how I feel and how I space the rides apart. Most people laugh when I tell the story "oh, I had a seizure at McDonalds" but it was pretty serious. Please don't think I'm a freak for having one because most likely I'll never have one again. Well, that's my story, congratulations if you got this far!

^Well that pretty much beats my story, and all the rest to come! That sounds scary! I am always paranoid about drinking lots of water, ever since my cousin *almost* got a kidney stone. He said it was the worst pain of his life. But anyway, its nice to know about another person who likes Subway as much as me! I love Subway so much! Mmmmm...Cold Cut Trio..... Anyway, thanks for sharing! Great story!

Here goes: Me, my step-dad (Will), and Cameron were at the Family Grand Prix park. That day, we had ridden the Crazy Mouse (spinning mouse) 8 times in a row and I had ridden Top Star (weird spinny-flippy ride) 3 times in a row. And then, Cameron and I went to do those Trampoline thingies. I was in mid-jump and I started to feel really weak and dizzy. I asked to be un-harnessed and I got Will to give me a few bucks to go get a bottle of water. I couldn't walk in a straight line on my way to the little concession place (indoors). As soon as I asked the lady behind the counter for a bottle of water, I just went black. Next thing I knew, I was on my knees. The lady told me she had my water, and to go sit down for a few minutes. As soon as I sat down, I called Will and told him he needed to get to the concession place. I tried to take a single sip of water, and it didn't stay in, if ya know what I mean. We went home after that, but I felt alot better LOL That's my story, I like it ;D --Tyler

Yeah, waters really the most important thing out there. They always say:
"You can live without food for weeks but you can only live without water for 3 days"

Yeah, I actually drink water a lot. I don't really even drink soda all that much. I think I was just really excited to ride those rides, cause I love them! They're not scary, but they're fun. So I was running around and I didn't even realize I needed a drink or a break until it was too late.
But your story totally beats mine!

Keep in mind, that you can post good stories in here too you know! Well I'm not saying your stories are bad, I'm saying they don't have to be about bad things, they can be about good things too! Like the time I went scuba diving in Hawaii...
Yes, that was an awesome experience. They started out training us how to use everything in the hotel pool. It was really weird breathing under water. Its actually hard to breath under water at first, because it doesn't feel right at all. We then went out into the ocean and went 35 ft. deep! It was awesome to see all the fish, and to sit on the ocean floor! We got lucky and found a huge sea turtle. I got to sit right next to it, and the dive instructor took a picture of me next to it with an under water camera. I was hoping we would see an octopus (I had seen one before when I was snorkeling) but we were pretty lucky to see and touch the giant sea turtle. I wish I was back there again; it was one of the best 30 minutes of my life!

Okay,
Back in late December, we were kinda I guess "down". I mean school was about to start back, and now there wasn't anything to look forward to! One night, my parents called my brother and me downstairs.
Okay, there gonna tell us we're going to be doing chores tomorrow. Great.
"John and Daniel, this Spring Break, we'll be leaving Memphis for Orlando on March 11th. We'll be spending a week in Disney World!"
That was the best thing that's ever happened to me! ------ Now for the wild story, yesterday, I went to the store with my mom, and of course with my luck, our softball team was at the front door.
Not a big deal except my ex-girlfriend was there. Let's just say I don't like her but she likes me still....
Well, that was my wild story!

^Lol! Poor John!
An emo girl likes me, and I don't like her, and if I would have realized she was turning into an emo a little later, she would have been my ex-girlfriend! She wont let me eat lunch in peace, she has to talk to me, so I cant hang out with my friends, AND I end up having to make an excuse for wherever she is inviting me!

Well, once when I was five years old I wanted to pet my cousin's dog so I reached out it bit my hand and tore it to shreds. This was a BIG dog. I remember throwing because of so much pain. I didn't have to get stitches and I'm lucky to have full function of my hand today. My dad said when we had to change the bandages you could see my muscles and veins in my hand. I remember hating not being able to swim. But I wasn't mad at the dog. Even luckier, it was my left hand. I'm right handed. I still have a scar. It's not big but the base of my ring finger on my left hand looks kinda funky. It has teensy little vein poking out. I thank God for letting my have my hand. Good on ya if you got this far. I have more wild stories but I'm too tired to post them.

Bumpity bump bump bump.
The worst thing that's ever happened to me was I was bike-riding on Saturday, May 6th, 2004, after coming back from a two-day band trip to Islands of Adventure. All of a sudden, I noticed a piece of McDonald's trash on the road. I swerved to avoid it but then my bike started wobbling so I bailed and slid on my right knee. I didn't feel any pain then but I looked down and it was all white. The next second it just started GUSHING BLOOD. I hobbled back to my house (only about 100 feet away), leaving my bike in the middle of the road and one of my shoes there (somehow one of my shoes fell off). I lost a lot of blood and it stung to go in water. The next day I went to Blizzard Beach with a few bandages there, and near the end of the day they fell off. There were literally chunks of my knee missing that you could dig your finger around. It didn't heal for two months and there's still scar tissue there.
I've also scraped all the skin off of my elbows three times from sliding on concrete baseball fields. (Well, concrete with a quarter-inch of dirt on top.) But the knee thing was the worst injury I've ever had. I'm lucky, I guess.
