^It's a movie...so they can make the chemical do whatever they want it to...

Obviously they CAN make it do whatever it wants..
That doesn't mean it's not stupid.

^Ya can't go to a movie, especially like that one expecting to see realistic stuff.

Zack...For one thing, the previews don't even tell you what the movie is about...Secondly; although aliens don't exist, Signs was a very realistic movie. If aliens did invade the Earth, I could definitely picture it happening like that. They could have made The Happening realistic, and still kept that same idea.

^They kinda do tell you what it's about...that's the point of them.

^Yeah. Like the ones for those stupid movies like Flushed Away. They gave away all the good parts. Like when he gets flushed down the toilet because the rat doesn't like him. And when he meets the girl and they save the town. It's like the preview tells us the plot of the movie or something...

The 30 second one...But that's not even the point.
The point is that a chemical released in the air can't instantly make you to commit suicide...It was a stupid idea.

A giant lizard can't attack Tokyo.
A giant gorilla can't attack New York.
A giant whatever can't attack New York (Cloverfield).
You can't really get to the world in the Center of the Earth.
And I could go on and on. They're freaking movies. If they clearly say that they're based on true events, then yeah, they should have some sense of realism. But you can't walk around saying that Godzilla, King Kong, Cloverfield, Journey to the Center of the Earth, The Ruins, The Cave, Saw, The Hills Have Eyes, etc. are unrealistic. They're movies. They aren't striving for realism, they're striving for people's interest.

Have you guys even seen The Happening??? There is a difference between fiction, and something completely ridiculous.
You've never thought while watching a stupid movie "YEAH RIGHT!! There is no possible way he could survive that"?
And Tyler, you obviously didn't read one of my previous posts...
"Signs was a very realistic movie. If aliens did invade the Earth, I could definitely picture it happening like that. They could have made The Happening realistic, and still kept that same idea."
NOTE: I do NOT believe in aliens.

Yeah, they could have made it realistic but that wasn't their goal...so don't call it a bad movie because it wasn't something it wasn't even suppose to be in the first place.

Well that was a stupid "goal" then, because as a result pretty much no one likes the movie so far...just read the reviews...google it. The whole movie sucked, and the fact that there is a chemical that can make someone instantly kill themselves is so incredibly farfetched. Also Zack, I'm still waiting for you to asnwer this question: "You've never thought while watching a stupid movie "YEAH RIGHT!! There is no possible way he could survive that"?"

^Nope. Cause I knew I was watching a movie, which was most likely gonna be unrealistic.
