Part 1 of my "around 100 pics" Yosemite trip.
Before yesterday, I had never been to Yosemite in my life. (Although I only lived 3 1/2 hours away!) As we were driving into Yosemite, it was very nice. There was snow and lots of pine trees. (Just like Tahoe) I thought at first it was going to be like any other places in the Sierra Nevada.
We (Me and my dad) Started to descend into the valley. We drove through a tunnel and as soon as we came out, we were right on the edge of a HUGE drop off. I then saw the breath-taking Yosemite Valley. It was INCREDIBLE. I have never seen cliffs that big before, and the view was absolutely amazing. I really could not believe it. Looking at the pictures doesn't really describe how it really is in real life.
Anyway, enough talking, on the the "part 1" pictures!
Here we are! (I took this from the car as we were driving in)
SNOW!!!!
There would be more, but it is all melting!
Here is my beautifully made snowball.
Here is the second stop we stopped at as we were driving.
Beautiful? Keep reading...
Big Loooooong tunnel.
Here is the picture that only only describe 1/3 of what you see in real life. This is Yosemite Valley!!
It just gives you a silent feeling, and you cant stop staring at it!
Giant Mountains!
After we got out of the car to look at the valley, we walked a little down the road and saw a cool fatterwall...oops I mean waterfall! (Old Joke ;D)
The waterfalls were running at their fullest because of all the recent snow melt.
The water moves so fast, and the waterfall was so loud. It was amazing.
Little did I know, this waterfall was nothing compared to the other water falls I would see later.
Don't fall into this freezing water!
BIG rock!
This reminds me of when cartoon people get sucked into the waterfalls!
More big mountains.
This is at the bottom of the big valley you saw above.
This is so cool.
In the next update, you will see this waterfall about 30 feet from the area where it empties out!
This is amazing scenery.
Me in the peaceful meadow. What can brown do for you?
I think they are worried I'm going to steel toilet paper. I can only imagine what the people waiting for me outside must have thought seeing a flash come from the bathroom! Lol
Another awesome waterfall. This is either Bridalveil Falls, or Yosemite Falls. I can't remember.
And part 1 ends with the 3 minute "hike" going up to see Bridalveil Falls up close!
Thanks for reading!!
