So I've had some spots on my hand and foot that have been killing me for a while so I decided to go get them frozen off.
I figured it wouldn't be too bad but nevertheless, I asked my mom, "Is this gonna be painful?"
"No, not at all, I've had this done several times."
In walks the doctor.
"This is going to be very, very painful."
I thought she was joking, hahahaha! She wasn't.
Cryosurgery is using extreme cold to literally burn away skin cells.
I really wanted to get back to running, and I thought this would be a quick fix, haha, now I'm gonna be limping for days.
It's not cool.

Sounds harsh. I'm still limping from my broken ankle. And it's been over a month now since I got my cast off.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryosurgery - Wiki is your friend "The application of extreme cold to destroy abnormal or diseased tissue." Anyone know if this is how they "freeze-remove" warts and whatnot? Sounds similar...

^^Whatever! I didn't read the whole thing, just the firt sentence! ^That sucks...ya never know though, some things skip generations or sometimes the gene doesn't get passed down. For example: If your mom has skin cancer (could be Ss or SS) and your dad doesn't (only ss), you aren't definately gonna get skin cancer passed onto you. If your mom has a heterozygous allele (Ss), your chances are only 50%, which is better than nothing! Just thought I'd throw in the Biology lesson there

Hey, in cases like these they come in handy! They're really easy to do too...well, maybe not the Chi Squares or whatever...

Update:
Alright, I'll come right out and say it: I have a plantars wart on my heel, it's killing me. (not literally). I can't run, it hurts to walk, and the cryosurgery made it worse if anything.
So Friday, (first day of summer vacation), I'm going to have part of my heel removed or something, I don't know.
I'll be awake, but the estimated recovery time for this "drastic" surgery is 1-2 weeks. Hopefully it won't hamper the Dollywood plans but you never know. I want this thing gone.
So I will most likely be doped up on pain meds for a few days, so if I'm not on, I aint dead.
This summer's off to a great start. Hopefully it won't be worse than the in-grown toenail removal surgery...
