Day Two of our Smoky Mountains vacation we took a trip to Damascus, Virginia. Cool town, but 79% of the people there had mullets. Yeah, mullets. No, I'm serious, mullets.
Anyway, we got in this bus and took a 20 minute drive up to the top of this mountain, and began to ride the Creeper Trail, a route that was once a train route, so we got to go over bridges and stuff, so that was cool.
Well about 13 miles into the ride, (an easy ride, I might add, it'
s all downhill, so there is no peddling [sp?] required), and it starts thundering.
Since my mom hates being out during storms, she starts freaking out, then all hell breaks loose, I mean I've never been out in a storm that bad, I was going about 20 mph with hail and rain pounding at me from every direction. But I made everybody stop so I could put my camera in a place where it couldn't get wet, haha, I knew everybody here would not be happy.
Then it got worse, we finally got into town where it stopped... But we had no change of clothes and we had a two hour drive back to Gatlinburg. So we had to spend over $100 to buy new clothes.
So that was our adventure in Virginia, I sure as heck won't forget it...
Onto the pics:
I love these mountains. Do they look like boobs to anybody else?
Wow, we're really high... up.
Holy crap it's a llama. I yelled Cuzco and it looked at me. No lie.
Alright, I'm in the creek, and I don't know my picture is being taken. Looks like a new reality show for CBS after Kid Nation fails.
It's like a tunnel. Only it's outside.
Alright after I took this picture, I thought screw this, and rode ahead five miles until I got to this weird town where all the locals stared at me. Then I rode the other way, haha.
See the waterfall way down there?
I don't know if anyone knows this, but I love rock climbing. I mean, if it wasn't for the coaster-obsession, and I didn't live in a flat city, I would be rock climbing all the time. (I had to climb alot of rocks to take that picture)
Haha, rock steps are for weenies.
What if there is no crappy Euro-Fighter around the corner? I love you Dollywood.
And then it started raining.
