Yeah. If your orthodontist says you need to get 4 teeth pulled, run and hide.
I had had two teeth pulled before today, but I don't remember it hurting THIS much.
First off, they had to drill a hole in the roof of my mouth. Then, they had to pry a tooth out of there. Then, they had to put the piece of my mouth back in and put stitches in. So now I have at least 10-15 stitches in the roof of my mouth. Oh the joy.
Then, they had to go down and take out a normal tooth. Hurt 5 times as much.
Then, two more teeth on the other side. Just as much pain.
This all happened about 1 1/2 hours ago, and I'm sitting here at my desk. The upper left part of my mouth is fine. The upper right part of my mouth hurts like crazy. I still can't feel any of the bottom of my mouth. Now, when I try to drink, it's really weird because I can feel everything on the top but not on the bottom, so I drool everywhere. lol.
So, what have I learned?
When you have to get teeth pulled, run and hide.

I've had two adult teeth pulled and six baby teeth pulled. I had 6 shots in my mouth for the adult teeth, one being in the roof of my mouth. It sucked.
Haha, but when they pryed one of the teeth out it flew across the room and hit the nurse in the head.

^Haha, nice.
My first two teeth were baby teeth, these 4 were adult teeth. I think I had 8 shots in my mouth for this one, two on the roof of my mouth, the other six in my gums. It does suck.

I had 4 teeth pulled once, and it didn't hurt AT ALL...

I've had two teeth pulled, it doesn't sound anywhere near as bad as your story though...mine didn't hurt at all, I just hated the sound of them ripping my tooth out...it's disturbing! They gave me shots too, but they only hurt for like a second. Hang in there, don't listen to the "drink salt water to stop the bleading" thing, that's just discusting!

An update...the reason why I even had these pulled in the first place.
I got braces on my top teeth today. I have no idea what people were on when they say that they hurt, because they don't. They're just really annoying.

^ Dude, wait until they actually tighten them... then they'll hurt.

Also the same here, I think they have to make room for the teeth to straighten out.

Same here (for both the braces and the reason for the teeth-pulling)!

I had 4 baby teeth pulled to get braces, and one was about the size of my greyhound's tooth. I had to get two shots in the roof of my mouth, not exactly fun.
