Okay sure you probally already knew that Six Flags Discovery Kingdom was replacing Zonga with Tony Hawk's Big Spin. But first of all it is not like the others. This one will be an insanly awesone Spinning Coaster Model 380/4 built by Gerstlauer Amusement Rides GmbH. Now this coaster orginally used the bobsled cars and was called AquaWind. It proved to be very succsesful, so they built a replica making it a model. Although this past year in BonBon Land spinning cars were placed on it making riders go from to the spinning is rapid and insane as it makes it ways through the compact yet fun layout. Here is a video to show of the crazy spinning insanity of Hankatten, a replica www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgGhvjCGaW0Here are some pictures of Hankatten it's replica in Demark And Finally here is the Layout This coaster is due to open sometime in 2008

It'd be cool if they could have these layouts without the spinning.
Nevertheless, this ride is gonna be awesome!

Well I don't really like that there is going to be so many roller coasters named 'Tony Hawk's Big Spin' because I like originality but I guess since it will be a different layout it should be ok, maybe.

This is cool, I can't wait to ride it...I was at Marine World a couple days ago, and I haven't seen any progress. A TR will follow soon

^ It probably won't take too long to install, so I'm guessing they're not in too big of a rush.

The spinning design was orgrinally planned to be portable but they backed out at the last minute so it is put up ridiculously fast. Like maybe a month at most

^ I hope the version at SFDK doesn't have those odd connecting supports like the real one does.
It'll look alot better if the supports are like the ones in the mock-up.

I imagine it won't take much time to build, if you refer to Pandemonium at SFNE's construction. That went by very quickly.

^I love that third picture. And like John said, It'd be cooler if it didn't spin. I'm not saying I hate spinning coasters, but It'd be a lot better if it didn't...

Construction Update - 3/3/08 Thanks to SixFlags.com for the update! So they are building at the the factory in Germany, then taking it down painting it and shipping it off to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Vertical Construction there is suppose to begin in early April and the ride as a chance of being operational later that month.
